Fairies 1-day class with Fran Parrigan-Meehan

Class Maximum - 12 students
In this class you will learn how to make your own Fairy and I know you will make lots more Fairies to go with the fairy you make in class. Fairies are VERY ADDICTING. Fairies love Flowers of all kinds. They use flowers for hats and clothing. They love Lily of the Valley flowers and Poppies. They use them for hats of course. You know Fairies are little beings in human form with magical wings and powers, don’t you? Listen closely and you might hear a Fairy giggle or even call out your name.
You will make the Fairy body using pipe cleaners, floral tape and ribbons or stripes of fabrics. You will make their little shoes out of special fairy shoe materials. You see they love velvet. You will create your Fairy’s head out of paper clay using a pressmold. Pressmold is yours to keep so you can make many Fairies. Fairies love blackberry jam. You will love creating your very own Fairy. You can tweak the paperclay face to make it your very own Fairy face.
You will embellish your Fairy with lots of tulle, fiber pieces, feathers, flowers and much more. You will attach your Fairy to a board covered in Flowers, Leaves and more. You will paint the board that you are going to embellish with flowers, etc. If you make a Cupcake Fairy you will make the cupcake out of paper clay and the icing will be created out of fancy fiber yarn. Cupcake Fairy sits in a Real Cupcake Cup.
Can’t forget the Fairy Wings. Wings are the most important!!! You will make wings out of feathers or Angelina fibers or Fancy Fiber paper or Tulle or or or or Whatever You Want To Make Your Fairy Wings Out Of!!!
Kit Fee: $25.00 payable in class.
Kit contains: Paper clay, pressmold, wooden stand or cupcake paper cup, pipe cleaners, bits n pieces of ribbon, yarns and trims, fiber papers, use of teachers supplies on hand. I’ll have wire and angelina fibers just in case you need it for wings.
Miss Prissy 1-day class with Fran Parrigan-Meehan

You are going to fall in love with “Miss Prissy”. She is so cute and prissy everyone that sees her is going to want their very own. She loves attention from everyone that comes around. You know how those cute prissy girls are?? WELL! You are going to make your very own and you might even make 2 or more. Miss Prissy is like CHOCOLATE, you can’t stop at one. She’s a great conversation piece. She also makes a wonderful fun pincushion. YES! I said, PIN CUSHION. Miss Prissy doesn’t mind getting stuck by needles and pins. She doesn’t feel a thing. She loves the colored top straight pins. She thinks they are her jewelry. She loves to show off her so call jewelry.
You will learn how to assemble Miss Prissy’s body using wooden balls and a dowel. You will dress her lovely or funky or however you want her dressed. You will embellish her with pieces of ribbons, laces; metal pieces would be great to make her Steampunk. COOL! I will bring a Steampunk Miss Prissy to class for you to see what she looks like. You will be using micro marbles/beads to embellish with. You will paint the wooden balls and dowel. You will learn how to assemble the luscious velvet on the torso and around the large wooden ball OR you can use other types of fabric instead of velvet. The SKY IS THE LIMIT!! This is your Miss Prissy - Make her and dress her any way you want to. I’m just giving you the guide lines and showing you how to construct her into Miss Prissy sassy, punk, mean, lovely, elegance or whatever. We will be using paint and glue so watch out or Miss Prissy might think its some type of candy. By the way she loves M and M’s. You can even make an M and M Miss Prissy. I will also bring her so you can see her. I told you, you can use whatever you want to embellish her.
